10 Day Tag Challenge

Exactly one year ago, I found myself discouraged and down after an injury had disrupted my life. I decided to challenge myself to a “30 day” tag/stamping challenge and I shared my journey on social media. Every day, I would look for messages of hope, resilience, encouragement, joy to express and amplify via stamps and ink on a JUMBO tag! As I shared my process of selecting colors, choosing messages, and then talked through the steps, including tips, tricks, techniques, ideas, and options, LIVE on Instagram, I realized that those who were watching were learning so much from things I did naturally as I worked, things I wouldn’t really be focusing on in a class approach. I was getting DMs from people all over the world, thanking me for the inspiration, and the permission to just PLAY. I started seeing tags, and projects popping up in my feed, from people who were playing along! I really enjoyed the creative challenge and the creative OUTLET.

This class is a 10 day version of that Tag Challenge, designed to capture the magic of that 30 day experience one year ago. Every day for the next 10 days, a new video will be available, in which I will take you through my entire process from the start to finish - no editing! You will see me make mistakes, and how I “fix” them. You will see me choose colors, combine stamp sets and dies, create layers, utilized different types of papers and other surfaces to create unique, new, fresh JUMBO tags! The 10-tag collection will serve as a playground, creative springboard, inspiration resource, an invitation to join the daily challenges, and the nudge to CREATE, try, express, experiment, learn, grow, and connect!

Every lesson/video will include a creative challenge. Class members are invited to accept the challenge, post to be entered each day to WIN a $10 gift card to heidiswapp.com!

Each day, I will be creating a “JUMBO TAG” which is 3 1/2” x 7”. I will not be posting an official “supply list” up front, as I am creating these tags as I go along with this TAG CHALLENGE! Use what you have, DIY where you can! Translate the challenges and ideas into your own tag creations, OR follow my lead as you gain confidence and skills using stamps, dies and other creative supplies!

Just like anything, to get BETTER and to ENJOY the process more, you have to practice! Creativity is like a muscle that needs to be challenged and exercised to GROW and learn to utilize it more fully! The skills and techniques must be learned, so the confidence can increase, to facilitate the creativity! That’s the MAGIC of this 10-day Tag Challenge!
